Sr. Manager, Naval Aviation Programs The Government Relations Senior Manager, Naval Aviation Programs, reports to the Director, Naval and Coast Guard Aviation Programs in Crystal City, supports the Director and Mission Area VP, and interfaces with the Navy and Marine Corps Legislative Team. Responsibilities Work closely with United States Navy senior staff, OSD, and other government agencies to coordinate and inform on Lockheed Martin acquisition, logistics, and sustainment programs. Fully support company legislative efforts for Lockheed Martin programs. Assist in the formulation of strategic priorities for the Naval Aviation portfolio and in developing, executing, and monitoring specific plans and objectives that support the Annual Strategic Action Plan. Act as a Lockheed Martin Government Affairs representative for all Naval Aviation programs, including capture, sustainment, and new opportunities. Interface with business area counterparts in Rotary & Mission Systems, Aeronautics, and Missiles & Fire Control. Arrange customer meetings and conferences to facilitate business area presentations of product development plans, proposals, reviews, sustainment initiatives, and capability improvements. Coordinate with business areas and corporate/LMGA staff on all customer contacts, briefings, and communications directed to LM customers in the Washington, DC area. Coordinate with the Director to maximize business opportunities on current Navy programs. Assist in gaining and growing business in emerging technologies such as unmanned systems, hypersonics, and advanced weaponry. Coordinate with the F‑35C Director, Air Force & JSF programs to ensure synchronization across the strike fighter portfolio. Address sustainment issues on Lockheed Martin new or legacy aircraft as required. Participate in business development and aviation activities, including tradeshows and aviation‑affiliated organizations. Coordinate with the Norfolk LMGA Office on supporting Norfolk / East Coast Region‑based aviation activities, customer meetings, briefings, and communications. Maintain familiarity and engagement with Naval Aviation leadership in the Norfolk fleet concentration area. Travel as necessary to support LM business activities and Norfolk‑based aviation engagements. Qualifications Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a Service Legislative Affairs or Legislative position in the House and/or Senate. Strong professional network within the Washington, DC aerospace and defense industry and the Naval Aviation community in the Norfolk fleet concentration area. Self‑starter, team player, with strong analytical skills. Work Schedule and Location On‑site (four days per week) at the Crystal City, Arlington facility. Employment follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, as business allows. Travel Required travel to support Lockheed Martin business activities and Norfolk‑based aviation engagements.
