Job Description HIRING IMMEDIATELY: AIR IMPORT AGENT IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a General Labor to join our team in Channahon, Illinois. Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $25/hour
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- Located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois
- Coordinate with agents and partners to ensure import shipments are properly documented and processed
- Sort, process, and distribute documents for incoming consolidations and direct shipments
- Determine efficient transportation methods and arrange freight forwarding and delivery
- Ensure required U.S. Customs documentation is accurate and complete under the direction of designated Customs Brokers
- Arrange local deliveries for customers following customs clearance
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and calculate applicable freight, storage, and other charges
- Respond to customers and overseas partners through email, fax, and other communication channels
- Prepare freight quotations in response to customer and internal requests
- Coordinate arrangements needed for the smooth movement of import freight and assist with customer service procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate duties, freight, storage, and other charges
- Solid understanding of international freight forwarding and import operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible or extended hours as needed
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Overnight travel may be required
