Elementary/Middle School Teacher - Grade 5

Description

The Iowa-Grant School District is now accepting applications for an elementary-middle school teaching position, with an anticipated assignment in Grade 5. This position is part of a departmentalized fifth-grade team, and the teacher will be responsible for teaching Science and Social Studies, with a streamlined daily planning schedule.

We are seeking a qualified educator who is committed to meeting the academic and developmental needs of students. The ideal candidate will plan, develop, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world connections.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate:

• Strong content knowledge in Science and Social Studies
• The ability to design and implement hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences
• A natural ability to connect with and motivate students
• A commitment to professional growth and instructional excellence
• Effective communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, families, and community members
• The ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and agency partners

Qualifications:

• Certification or eligibility for certification in the appropriate teaching area. Candidates who are not currently eligible but are willing and able to pursue licensure will also be considered
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required
