Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join a local medical practice. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in providing excellent customer service while supporting daily office operations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Responsibilities

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Verify patient information and update records accurately.
- Check patients in and out for appointments.
- Collect copays and process payments as needed.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and faxes.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and other administrative duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous receptionist, customer service, administrative, or medical office experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Insurance verification and patient scheduling experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment throughout the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
