Center Clinical Manager

Overview The Care Supervisor, functioning under the supervision and guidance of the PCP and/or Clinical Dyad leader, is responsible for organizing and directing the work of the clinical staff, coordinating staff activities and schedules to ensure effective patient care services are provided, and ensuring quality standards are met. The incumbent has primary responsibility for leading back‑office center operations—including quality, compliance, human resources, patient experience, clinical standards of care—and direct supervision of employees. The role is accountable for working with medical leaders, care team members, and patients to ensure VIP service delivery. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Serve the needs of patients and run clinical operations to meet center demands. Lead, monitor, and continuously improve clinical operations to achieve key performance targets such as SSP metrics, wait times, care team integrity, Care Promoter engagement, and turnover. Select, hire, and train clinical staff (Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Promoters, Medication & Pharmacy Techs). Collaborate with PCPs to manage care team performance. Provide orientation and onboarding for new team members to ensure they are fully trained in philosophy of care, patient flow, and clinical competencies. Ensure OSHA, clinical, and quality standards of ChenMed are met by monitoring performance and implementing corrective action plans. Provide ongoing education and training in collaboration with the Market Clinical Manager. Supervise completion of patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning care team members and following up on work results. Manage medical and administrative equipment—verify emergency equipment availability, ensure maintenance, troubleshoot, and maintain inventories. Manage medical supply inventories to optimum levels, maximizing efficiencies. Complete all required training to dispense medications from the medication room. Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Good business acumen and decision‑making ability. Excellent understanding of basic clinical care principles, techniques, functions, and standard procedures. Knowledge of medical products, services, standards, policies, and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superb leadership and influence skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire others. Ability to take patient vital signs and obtain laboratory samples. Quality mindset focused on solving problems for patients and achieving team goals. Compassion and empathy for patients and family members. Effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, front desk staff, managers, and market leaders. Data‑driven insight development and multi‑process management. Attention to detail and ensuring accuracy of reports and data. Ability to maintain organized systems for timely patient flow. Calmness and flexibility in busy or stressful situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software. Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 10% of the time. Spoken and written fluency in English; bilingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus. Independent judgment in performing duties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA High school diploma or GED equivalent required. BA/BS in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Active and in good standing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in current state of employment, or a nationally accredited Certified Medical Assistant required. Minimum five years progressive experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or regulated healthcare environment. Minimum two years management experience with direct reports; strong preference for experience in a regulated environment. IV Therapy certification for LPNs where required by State Board of Nursing. BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within first 90 days. Experience working with geriatric patients preferred. EMR system experience a plus. PAY RANGE $54,358 – $77,655 per year.
