Director I, Study Feasibility

AbbVie seeks a Director I for Study Feasibility within Clinical Development Operations to lead cross-functional teams in assessing clinical trial design, operations, and site strategy. This analytical role requires deep expertise in drug development and clinical research with demonstrated managerial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop direct reports including Managers and Associate Directors
  • Assess clinical study design feasibility across country selection, site selection, and protocol review
  • Conduct scientific and operational analyses to support cross-functional team engagements
  • Provide strategic consultation on recruitment, timelines, patient burden, and risk mitigation
  • Design feasibility tools and standardize clinical trial development processes across portfolio

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in pure, applied, or technical sciences
  • Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical experience; 8 years clinical research, project leadership, or consulting
  • At least 4 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of pharma drug development processes at study, program, and portfolio levels
  • Leadership experience in complex scientific analyses and business-oriented decision making
  • Preferred: Oncology, Neurology, or Immunology therapeutic area background
