Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individual therapy sessions focused on crucial areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout treatment phases.
  • Maintain prompt and accurate documentation in adherence to state, federal, and organizational policies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and collaborative learning within the field to remain current with best practices.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
Certifications
  • Active state license as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatments suitable for all ages with a keen understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adeptness in adapting therapy techniques to cater to a variety of cultural and linguistic needs.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
