Major Components Technician

We are searching for skilled and experienced Major Components Technician with solid experience working with wind turbines and who can conduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement components. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in handling various types of maintenance and diagnosing issues to ensure optimal functionality of wind turbines. We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians with knowledge from a variety of platforms. In this position, you must be able to repair mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot and repair significant corrective operational issues on utility-sized wind turbines per the project description.
• Conduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement components such as main bearings, drive shafts, generators, and rotor swaps.
• Ability to call a conventional crane.
• Perform all major component exchanges in accordance with specified procedures.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical component replacements to correct malfunctions.
• Properly utilize and maintain all mandated safety equipment.
• Represent the company culture of safety, quality, and integrity daily.
• Comply with all safety rules in accordance with company, customer, and government regulations and guidelines.
• Exhibit positive, courteous behavior with customers, contractors, suppliers, and co-workers.
• Accurately complete and submit required service reports, timecards, expense reports, and other required company reports in a timely manner for the onsite team.
• Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.
