STUDENT-H&S Pathways Office Operations Assistant - A

The H&S Pathways student employee supports Pathways students as they explore potential majors and minors and seek to build community over their first two years at Ithaca College. The student employee works with the current directors,Pathways PALs, administrative assistants, and other staff to plan, staff, and set up events. Applicants should feel confident in their knowledge of the H&S Pathways Program, as well as in their communication and organizational skills. The Pathways student employee must have knowledge of the H&S Exploratory Pathways Program, familiarity with the Pathways student community and their needs, as well as an awareness of the services offered and associated faculty/instructors of Pathways students . Responsibilities: Attending weekly meetings with directors and other staff Holding monthly meetings to keep PALs up-to-date on program changes and updates Planning and assisting with events throughout the semester, including: Communicating with directors and administrative assistants about needed resources and supplies Designing flyers/ promoting the program and events on social media Informing PALs of regular and special meetings Recruiting PALs to volunteer for events Advertising events on campus, etc. Coaching Pathways students on registration before and throughout the registration period (fall and spring semester) Maintain Pathways social media sites and regularly post to help build community and awareness of events and services Hiring Manager: Katie Marks Hiring Range $16.00/hr Ithaca College’s student employment program offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities that develop transferable skills sought by employers across various industries.
