About the Role:

As Associate, Standards & Brand Safety, your primary responsibility will be evaluating commercials and promotional materials to verify compliance with Tubi’s advertising policies and relevant legal standards. This role specifically requires working on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.

The Standards & Brand Safety team collaborates closely across functions, including Legal, Sales, Ad Operations, Content, and Content Operations, to support consistent application of company guidelines. In addition to advertising review, you will develop expertise in Tubi’s content standards and broader industry practices concerning original and acquired content.

The work schedule is Wednesday-Sunday. Candidates must have the ability and be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York office. You must be willing to travel to the office 2 days/week.

What You'll Do:

• Interpret and apply Tubi’s advertising content policies to ads that run on the platform
• Interpret and apply Tubi’s content standards policies with regard to sexual, violent, and controversial content, including reviewing and recommending content for further evaluation or removal from the service
• Evaluate and substantiate marketing, scientific, and other data submitted by advertisers
• Coordinate with Sales, Ad Operations, Content, and Content Operations to ensure proper socialization of ad restrictions and relevant information
• Use internal tools to document and socialize findings to ensure that policies are consistently implemented
• Review original and acquired scripted and unscripted content at various stages of production; collaborate with Legal and Content Operations to help ensure content is consistent with Tubi standards, industry guidelines, and applicable ratings frameworks, including the TV Parental Guidelines
• Provide notes and recommendations when necessary
• Highlight policy issues that require further analysis or escalation
• Assist in improving operational workstreams by identifying challenges and offering practical solutions, including improvements to existing guidelines
• Stay current on streaming industry trends, including conducting analyses of competing streamers’ advertising and content Standards and Practices policies

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• 2+ years of professional experience in advertising compliance, advertising policy, trust & safety, content moderation, standards & practices, or a related policy enforcement role
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply written policies consistently while exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations
• Must have the ability and willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year
• Willingness to review all types of content and apply Tubi and legal standards without regard to personal beliefs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with various internal teams, colleagues, managers, producers, and advertisers
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Sound judgment with the ability to recognize when matters should be escalated
• Practical familiarity with AI tools and an interest in applying them to improve operational efficiency
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to prioritize work effectively and make consistent decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, databases, and web-based tools
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required
• Experience in streaming, digital media, broadcast television, or online platform operations is a plus
• Self-starter who can work independently with limited supervision

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
