Snow’s business is centered around the patient journey, and the Associate Producer, like all positions at Snow, must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of these patients and caregivers. The Associate Producer must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSBILITIES The Associate Producer must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions: Responsible for working with lead producers to manage video projects from pre-production through post-production Responsible for maintaining the high-level production value our clients demand and have come to expect Collaborate with in-house production team of producers, designers, editors, graphic artists, copy writers, and executive producers to create a concept, plan, and execute the production Own the on-set product, meaning travel logistics and overall event style management Hire and manage during production vendors, makeup artists, caterers, location scouts, and outside production assistances Take the lead in developing creative concepts for projects Determine the type of materials, supplies, equipment, or tools to be used for production Maintain budget for production to assure meeting business goals Work with the account team to determine video needs, create video concepts and proposals, and present video concepts to the account teams and clients Provide consultation or expert advice to management on current and future productions Responsible for hiring and managing vendors needed for production Responsible for conceptualizing, planning, developing, prioritizing, implementing a video production schedule, call sheets, scheduling talent and crew, finding locations, and managing the budget Oversee project during pre-production and post-production Based on approved creative treatment, work with Producer to write shooting scripts and/or prepare storyboards describing the footage, graphics, music/SFX, narration, and dialogue Responsible for obtaining locations, props, and wardrobe Responsible for negotiating fees/costs/permits for locations on SNOW’s behalf Maintain departmental workflow processes and standard operating procedures Research content as needed. Conduct pre-interviews with talent-matter experts, executives, or other talent as needed Review footage and work with Producer to edit scripts; provide expert advice on changes needed The primary job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed Weekend and Night Work: Although day-to-day work should primarily take place during regular office hours, on some occasions work may be required late into the evening and/or over the weekend. The candidate selected for the Associate Producer position should have the expectation that the workload and nature of the work will require hours that may extend past the business hours of the company (8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday). This includes working on the weekends. Flexibility: The core business hours that you work may change based on business needs. Candidates must understand this and expect that shifts may change from time to time. Collaboration/Teamwork: The size and nature of our company will require that candidates work in collaboration with people in other departments. Candidates must demonstrate their willingness/ability to step into other roles as needed to drive the success of the company. Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to be a contributing member of a team that has goals that are broader than an individual job description or function. Language Skills/Communication: Candidates must have the ability to read and comprehend general documents relating to the pharmaceutical/bio-technology industry that include, but are not limited to, medical education, medical periodicals, clinical trial data, package inserts, medical procedures, industry regulations, and reimbursement/tax guidelines. Candidates must have the ability to prepare and present business reports and correspondence. Candidates will have demonstrated their ability to effectively and professionally communicate with managers, clients, customers, Ambassadors, and the general public. Working with patients requires candidates to exercise discretion and empathy as patients are living with chronic conditions. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus. Travel: Travel is a fundamental part of the Associate Producer position. Candidates must be able to perform the specific travel and driving requirements of the role. Position requires 15% travel, including internationally. Patient Privacy: The core of our business is working with patients. The Associate Producer most likely will come in contact with Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients living with chronic illness. You will be required to take training courses that include, but are not limited to: Snow Policy Training Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Adverse Event (AE) Reporting Training U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Training Computer Skills: Candidates must have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment to include: Word-processing (Word) Spreadsheets (Excel) Presentation software (Power Point) Email (Outlook) Internet and World Wide Web Mathematical Skills: Candidates will have the ability to comprehend and utilize basic mathematical skills as well as business statistics to include percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions. Reasoning Ability: Candidates will have the ability to identify and define problems while applying good problem-solving skills through collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Candidates will have the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Candidates will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Candidates will be able to apply industry benchmarks to create standardized practices. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. In some instances, a passport may be necessary. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; public speaking and speech coaching experience preferred. Required Skills: Knowledge and experience in Electronic Field Production Knowledge of different camera platforms Basic knowledge of lighting for video Experience working on a professional production set Understanding of basic set etiquette Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite Creative thinking, dynamic problem-solving Exceptional client service skills, demonstrated patience, and the ability to function well as part of a team Understanding of media management and archiving Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Maintain departmental workflow processes and standard operating procedures Preferred Experience: BS or BA with a major course of study in Media/Video Production Minimum one year of production experience at an agency, production house, or news station Experience writing script, concepts, and treatments Working knowledge of the process of taking a video project from concept to completion Detail-oriented and proven ability to work under deadline pressure Demonstrated creative decision-making and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and multi-tasking abilities Effectiveness in managing project schedules and work under rigorous time constraints Proficient with MAC, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
