About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 24 months of Med Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele experience required. Must have experience floating across Med Surg units, including post-operative care. Post-operative surgical care experience required in procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, and pacemaker insertion. Experience with specific drips and titration, including heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion. Must be able to comfortably read EKG/ECG and manage all Telemetry-related duties and responsibilities. License: Must hold an active Iowa license or a compact/multistate nursing license. Certifications: Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Must-Have: No first-time travelers; prior travel assignment experience within the last 15 months is required. Skills checklist must be specific to Med Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele discipline. Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months is preferred. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry for a night shift position. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts per week with a holiday rotation and every third weekend requirement. Candidates must have strong experience in managing telemetry patients and floating across various units. The role involves caring for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and medication administration through IV drips. Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform EKG reads accurately and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Experience with EPIC EMR is required. All candidates will be expected to meet the specified qualifications and demonstrate extensive nursing experience.
