Senior Maintenance Technician

The primary purpose of the Senior Maintenance Technician position is to perform skilled sub journeyman-level work in a designated craft. It impacts routine maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment, systems, buildings, and grounds.

Essential Job Functions:

• Under limited supervision performs inspections, troubleshooting, and routine and preventative maintenance on various equipment, buildings, and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills.
• Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information.
• May investigate outages.
• Coordinates and prioritizes the workflow of other technicians.
• Functions as a point of contact for vendors.
• Prepares and submits reports.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives.
• May precept staff.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred: Associate's Degree Technical or Trade school

Work Experience:

• Required: Five years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).

Licenses and Certifications:

• Preferred: Stationary Engineer License 3rd Grade
