Role Description The Licensed Optician at LensCrafters in Lakeland, FL is a full-time, on-site role focused on providing expert optical guidance and outstanding customer care. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, advising patients and customers on lens and frame selections, and ensuring proper fit, adjustment, and repairs of eyewear. The role supports optometrists and other eye care professionals, helps coordinate eye exams and follow-up care, and maintains compliance with all optical and retail standards. The Licensed Optician also educates customers on lens options, coatings, and technologies, contributes to meeting store performance goals, and promotes a welcoming, inclusive environment. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Optics and Optometry to interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate lens solutions. Demonstrated commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction in a retail or healthcare setting. Experience supporting Eye Exams, including pre-testing, patient education, and coordination with optometrists. Current state licensure as an Optician and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Proficiency in fitting, adjusting, and repairing eyewear, with attention to accuracy and detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a diverse, patient-centered team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records or retail point-of-sale systems. Previous experience in optical retail or clinical eye care settings is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
