Billing Manager

The E-Billing Manager, working with the Billing Director, will be responsible for establishing clients/matters on various e-billing platforms. They will oversee the submissions and take prompt actions to resolve and ensure submissions are up to date. Responsibilities Ensuring that new clients are set up to e-bill upon engagement, including matter ids, rate approvals and other information required to onboard. Review OCG to determine LEDES formats and task and activity code requirements and work with Billing teams to establish in Aderant Expert. Maintain relevant fields in Aderant Expert to ensure proper creation of LEDES files and workflows. Manage set-ups on BillBlast. Using BillBlast as well as various platforms, review the status of invoices and identify invoices which are stalled or rejected. Work with individual e-billers to any issues to submitting invoices. Review work assignments and reallocate as needed amongst the team. Work directly with partners as needed to resolve issues and communicate status, as needed. Work directly with clients and e-billing vendors to establish relationships and resolve issues. Maintain schedule of deadlines for individual client requirements such as rate increases, accruals and budgets. Ensure that rates, accruals and budgets are submitted according to clients’ requirements. Collaborate with Billing, Collections and Pricing teams. Train new hires on BillBlast, related platforms and necessary skills in Aderant. Qualifications Minimum 7 years legal E-billing/Billing experience including all aspects of E-billing from set-ups to collection, preferably in a large law firm environment Minimum 3 years supervisory experience Ability to lead E-billing team and mentor new hires Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills Keen attention to detail Organized and able to multitask and meet deadlines Experience working under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Schedule: Hybrid schedule, 6 days per month on average. $130,000 - $145,000.
