Job Title: Automation Technician

Job Description

The Automation Technician will primarily support and troubleshoot plant automation systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. The role involves working with a range of technologies, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), servo systems and drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), I/O systems, process control signals, industrial communication networks, and motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human machine interfaces (HMIs).
• Maintain and repair servo systems and servo drives.
• Handle AC and DC variable frequency drives (VFDs) and digital and analog I/O systems.
• Manage process control signals such as 420 mA and 010 V discrete I/O.
• Ensure reliable operation of industrial communication networks including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.
• Oversee motion control systems and encoders.
• Support and maintain various electronic components including relays, power supplies, contactors, sensors, timers, counters, and signal conditioners.
• Manage terminal blocks, fuses, breakers, and protection devices, as well as control transformers and interface modules.

Essential Skills

• PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Dayton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
