• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $80.00-$85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night (4x12 Hours) - Shift start time is 7:00 PM with flexibility to start four hours prior to or four hours after posted start time based on limited critical department need
• Hours Per Week: 48 HPW
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday (EOW/EOH)
• Travel Requirements: Accepts first timers
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Telemetry Registered Nurse travel contract position based in Worcester, MA. The position supports surge and overflow patients, with some floating required within the ED to care for boarder patients. The facility uses Epic for charting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support surge/overflow patients on the Telemetry unit
• Float within the ED as needed to care for boarder patients
• Administer and monitor PCA pumps
• Apply and manage spinal precautions
• Manage chest tubes (preferred experience)
• Manage epidural care (preferred experience)

Education Requirements

• MA RN License required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• PCA pump management
• Spinal precautions

Preferred Skills

• Chest tube experience
• Epidural experience
• ACLS certification

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position (4x12 Hours); shift start time is 7:00 PM with flexibility of up to four hours prior to or four hours after posted start time based on limited critical department need
• Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) required
• Floating within the ED to care for boarder patients may be required
• Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not Required
• Facility allows 1 of the 3 major upcoming holidays in RTO

Important Notes

• A medication exam is required as part of the in-person orientation. Only 1 attempt is allowed. If the traveler does not pass, the contract is cancelled immediately. Study materials will be provided.
• Travelers must be aware of and confirm acknowledgment of this pass/fail exam prior to submission.
