Direct Support Professional - Residential MH

In this position you will work directly with clients living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) or mental health (MH) challenges. These clients reside in a variety of residential settings and may require 24‑hour care in a warm, family‑like environment. You will participate in the daily routine of the home and provide support for habilitative and rehabilitative activities, personal care, health care, and other tasks outlined in the Plan of Care, Person‑Centered Plan, or Individualized Support Plan, following person‑centered philosophy. You’ll help clients with their daily living skills and keep them socially engaged so their days are enjoyable and meaningful. Daily documentation and reporting is required. What You’ll Do Provide care and support in the clients’ homes and community settings. Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, personal care (bathing and dressing), and employment support. Transport clients to appointments and run errands when needed. Help plan and organize clients’ schedules. Document and report daily activity in the electronic health system. What We’re Looking For High School diploma or equivalent. 1 year of direct care experience (personal care and/or CNA experience preferred). Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, current auto insurance. Willingness to complete a background check. Complete and maintain required training curriculum, which includes CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Intervention Techniques, OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen, Seizure Management, and other core competencies.
