Direct Support Professional

Job Details Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 Salary Range: $18.50 - $19.00 hourly Position Description ABI Direct Support Professional Relief is primarily responsible for providing various support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting. The DSPR assists individuals in all areas of daily living, including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and recreational activities. The DCR works closely with individuals to help them become as independent as possible and to meet their own personal goals. Also assists individuals to find and participate in community activities they enjoy while encouraging community membership as well as pursuing individual interests. Qualifications Minimum age of 18 years. High School Diploma/GED or one year of experience in a related field. Basic math (addition/subtraction) skills. Ability to read & write. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E‑verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing). Valid US driver's license. Training Requirements Must maintain all certification needed in the program, including CPR, First Aid, MAP, and BFAIR Human Rights Training. May need to attend workshops, seminars or BFAIR functions as needed for job development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
