About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sanctions Compliance with a focus on Africa experience, particularly in the fintech, cryptocurrency, and stablecoin sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Group's adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements on a global scale. This pivotal role involves providing technical advice, conducting compliance reviews and risk assessments, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The VP will also manage a team of Sanctions Compliance analysts, engage with regulatory authorities, and oversee the development and delivery of sanctions training materials. Applicants must have a university degree, compliance certifications, and at least 10 years' of experience in a compliance role, with a strong background in OFAC reporting, AML, and financial services regulations. The role requires a deep understanding of corporate governance, AML, investment and payment services regulations, and crypto asset regulatory frameworks. The VP will be expected to anticipate and manage compliance challenges, create a collaborative compliance framework, and work with global partners to strengthen compliance efforts. Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate regulatory changes and mitigate compliance risks are essential for this position.
