In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.Starting Pay: $18.90/hr plus 7% night shift premium when working 2nd shift2nd Shift- 4pm- 12:30am Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoistsPerform material handling and warehousing functionsOrder filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and suppliesOperating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receivingMultiple systems interactionsInteraction with carrier driversAdhere to all facility safety policies and proceduresUses machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, stenciling, etc.Operates electronic hardware to receive material into inventory, including IPadsPerforms 5S/housekeeping functions as requiredEssential Job Functions:Frequently lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pound as team liftFrequently bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasksConsistent usage of required PPE for task being performedWork in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesBasic and/or Desired Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:Ability frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutesWork in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesWalk squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodationPrevious distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experienceGood attendance recordAbility to work OT when requiredThe ability to cross reference material to documentation for verificationWhat to expect after applying:Applicants that meet the qualifications will receive a call from our talent acquisition team to talk through your qualifications and answer questions you may have.Applicants that have passed the phone screen will be sent an online assessment that can be taken from your phone or computer.On-site interviews will be scheduled for candidates that pass the phone screen and the online assessment.All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to Caterpillar:Background ScreeningDrug ScreeningPost-Offer Medical Questionnaire - clearance from Corporate MedicalPLEASE CHECK EMAILS FREQUENTLY FOR COMMUNICATIONS.This employer is not currently hiring foreign national applicants that require or will require sponsorship tied to a specific employer, such as H, L, TN, F, J, E, O.
