Cyber Threat Analyst Level 3 with Security Clearance

Cyber Threat Analyst Level 3 – Altamira Technologies brings a long and successful history of delivering innovative solutions across the U.S. National Security community, headquartered in McLean, Virginia. This role supports the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities worldwide by developing threat intelligence that enhances preventive defensive cyber activities. Responsibilities Analyze, correlate, and operationalize threat intelligence from global sources to support proactive defensive cyber activities. Communicate complex findings to diverse audiences, including technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Collaborate with a team of cyber analysts to identify the highest levels of cyber threats and prevent their impact on critical U.S. systems. Document findings and create detailed reports to ensure tradecraft is continually updated, presenting results to executives and technical teams. Perform log file analysis, develop threat intelligence reports, and provide findings, mitigations, and confidence metrics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, network forensics, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat, or security operations. TS/SCI/FS Poly clearance required. Strong analytical skills with an IC mission background. Experience with XKS, Elastic/Splunk or other SIEM tools, creating visualizations and dashboards. Understanding of TCP/IP communication protocols, packet flows, and analysis of PCAP traffic in Wireshark. Familiarity with writing signatures in Zeek and/or Snort. Ability to analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources. Experience with reporting and IC analyst knowledge resources. Ability to work with development teams and articulate requirements/enhancements to capabilities and tools. Vast experience with advanced analytics, network diagrams, and related knowledge to understand systems, networks, environments, and adversaries. Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level reporting and presentations. Experience working with IC mission cybersecurity analysts, understanding the adversary, and developing mission‑specific TTPs. Altamira is an Equal Opportunity employer.
