Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Tech is part of our engineering team and responsible for all technical operations at the hotel. This individual will troubleshoot and repair electrically run motors & devices, HVAC systems, carpentry projects, and plumbing projects, as well as minor automotive repairs and painting.Responsibilities include:Technical electrical motor troubleshooting and/or repairH.V.A.C. and refrigeration troubleshooting and/or repairTechnical plumbing troubleshooting and/or repairMinor CarpentryUse all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressorsRepairs may include gas-fired equipment repair or door lock repairs as well as repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audiovisual equipmentRespond to all Guest Requests quickly attentivelyRespond to all emergency or life-threatening situationsFollow established safety proceduresLog and communicate all essential information in the Engineering logbookMove various objects for relocation and/or accessMaintain complete knowledge of resort fire system, well water system, septic system, and irrigation systemParticipate in and support hotel and company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Planet Auberge program.Qualifications include:Experience serving as a technician or engineer within a hotel or property management preferredExperience with power tools, including proper use and safetyAbility to read and follow technical instructions for equipment, furniture assembly, and safety labelsAbility to communicate effectively in English with guests, co-workers, and managementValid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle recordPrevious hospitality experience preferredStrong attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and commitment to guest satisfactionAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout the shiftFlexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysBilingual skills are a plusWBI Operations LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/V.
