This position offers a rare chance to support a diverse range of clients throughout the lifespan, harmonizing outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient engagements. Conduct evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
Provide education to patients and their families to help facilitate progress outside of the clinical environment.
Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy to ensure continuity of patient care.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to stay informed on advancements in the field.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) (if ASHA certification is pending).
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities spanning all ages, with a nuanced understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adept at modifying therapy methods to match diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment and analytical capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
