Role Description

The Family Physician is a full-time, on‑site role based in the Eastern End of Greenbrier County. This role provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including routine checkups, chronic disease management, preventive care, and urgent care visits. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting patient examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The Family Physician will also contribute to community health initiatives, participate in patient education efforts, and support the mission of serving medically underserved populations. The position involves maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical guidelines, and collaborating with the broader care team to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Primary Care and Family Medicine, providing comprehensive care across the lifespan.
  • Strong clinical skills in Medicine and Urgent Care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Experience or interest in Community Health, particularly in rural or medically underserved settings.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) in the state of West Virginia, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to equitable, non‑discriminatory care and sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities and continuous professional development.
