Functional Analyst

Role Description

We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join our team and work across multiple product squads. The Functional Analyst will play a key role in bridging business needs with technology solutions, ensuring functional clarity, alignment, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle. This position is cross-team and will require strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear, functional specifications.
• Define the “how” from a functional perspective to ensure aligned expectations between business, product, and technology teams.
• Create and maintain updated functional documentation for ongoing projects.
• Build functional documentation for existing products that currently lack it.
• Supervise and support QA teams in creating and validating test cases.
• Ensure that test cases cover the functional scenarios defined in the requirements.
• Actively contribute to product roadmaps.
• Propose product enhancements based on market trends, user needs, and best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user manuals, and other relevant materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum of +3 years in a Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Experience collaborating with multiple product teams simultaneously.
• Requirements elicitation and analysis techniques.
• Functional documentation (user stories, use cases, workflows, diagrams).
• Basic understanding of QA processes and functional validation.
• Awareness of digital product market trends and emerging technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactivity in identifying functional gaps and suggesting improvements.
• Collaboration and adaptability in multidisciplinary teams.
• Product-oriented mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
• Advanced level of English and/or Portuguese (desirable).
• Technical background in the following technologies: JavaScript, Node.Js, React, Git, Docker (desirable).
