Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical unit with a focus on telemetry. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

Contract Length: 16+ Weeks, available until February 27, 2027
Shift: 4 x 12 Hour Nights (18:45 - 07:15)
Patient Ratios: 1:5-7, depending on unit needs and capacity
Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekends in 6 weeks
Float Requirement: Required

Patient Population

The unit serves a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a focus on bariatrics and orthopedics.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are welcome.
Skills: Experience in telemetry is essential.
Certifications: BCLS, NIH, IV Start, and Telemetry required; ACLS is preferred.
Hand Hygiene Compliance: Must maintain a compliance rate of 75% or higher.

Unit Orientation

36 hours of orientation is required.
Availability for the entire week during the first week is necessary for Hospital Orientation.

Scrubs: Navy or white scrubs (not provided)
Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR, Voalte
EKG Testing: Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
