2nd Shift Biobank Technician I (Mon-Fri, 330p-12am)

Azenta Life Sciences seeks a Biobank Technician I for second shift operations (Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12 AM) in Indianapolis or Plainfield, Indiana. The role involves registering, labeling, retrieving, and discarding biological samples while maintaining precise temperature controls and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Register samples into inventory management system with barcode scanning and quality verification
• Label and store biological materials at required temperatures ranging from +30°C to -196°C
• Retrieve and package materials for lab services, shipments, and discards with quality control checks
• Investigate and document registration or retrieval issues using company systems
• Maintain chain of custody, audit trails, and location management reports

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years' experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, and detail orientation
• Life sciences experience preferred
• GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with refrigerants using proper PPE
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency

Compensation: $21.00 base hourly rate
