Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a major hyperscale data centre project in Atlanta, Georgia

This role will lead the commissioning process from pre-functional testing through to Integrated Systems Testing (IST), ensuring all mission-critical systems are commissioned, validated, and handed over to the client in line with project specifications and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commissioning activities across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage and coordinate Commissioning Engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party commissioning agents.
• Review and approve commissioning procedures, test scripts, MOPs, SOPs, and commissioning documentation.
• Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning activities, including pre-functional testing, functional testing, and IST.
• Coordinate closely with QA/QC, construction, and project management teams to ensure systems are ready for commissioning.
• Track commissioning progress, manage punch lists, and drive issue resolution through to completion.
• Ensure commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with project schedules and client requirements.
• Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates throughout the commissioning phase.
• Support project turnover and final handover documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAHs, AHUs, BMS and associated critical infrastructure.
• Experience leading commissioning from installation through final handover.
• Knowledge of Level 1–5 commissioning processes and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Previous hyperscale data centre experience.
• Experience using CxAlloy or similar commissioning management software.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.
