Job Information Job ID: RR-183195 Salary Range: $52,423 - $99,789 (2026-27 Salary Range, commensurate with experience) Affiliation: 2026-2027 Affiliation: IIPSA 1-150 Work Location: Ingham ISD – Mason, MI Schedule: 37 Weeks / 5 Days / 8 Hours Reports To: Michel McDonald (View email address on click.appcast.io) Application Deadline: July 12, 2026 About The Role Within the Division of Student Support Services and under the general direction of the administrator, this position is responsible for providing services to identified students with IEPs who are enrolled in regular, vocational, or special education in schools within the Ingham ISD service area and for consultation to educational personnel on behalf of transition programs and caseload students. The transition coordinator also initiates and provides access to agency information and services to transition age students in preparation for exit from educational services. In addition, this position maintains contact with school and community resources to enhance student career readiness, employability, and transition to adult living in the community. Identify system change needs related to transition and work to create solutions leading to better outcomes for students with a focus on employment, creation of natural support and connections to community agencies. Support transition needs for students across the Ingham ISD service area. Coordinate, plan and organize linkages with school and interagency service providers about transition services for youth. Qualifications Meets requirements for Transition Coordinator as outlined by the Michigan Department of Education Office of Special Education. Full approval as a teacher in one (1), or more, areas of special education by the State Board of Education or designee. Master’s Degree in education or a field of study related to special education and three (3) years of teaching experience (secondary preferred), including one (1) year in a special education classroom.
