Kitchen Manager | Denver Airport

Mission Yogurt, Inc. is a dynamic player in the food and beverage industry, operating various restaurant concepts primarily in high-traffic airports. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations at our A Center Marketplace (Williams & Graham, Bagel Deli, Tocabe, and D Bar) located inside the Denver Airport.

Position Overview

The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations, ensuring high-quality food production, kitchen efficiency, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role is responsible for managing kitchen staff, enforcing company policies, maintaining food quality, and optimizing labor and inventory management. The Kitchen Manager plays a key leadership role in training and developing employees, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Job-Specific Duties: Kitchen Manager

• Produce high-quality plates in both presentation and taste.
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule, and assess staff’s performance.
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards, including Health inspections.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers!
• Lead daily back-of-house operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain regular communication with the General Manager and other management team members.

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

• Availability and willingness to work overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum of three years of back-of-house restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
• Experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of back-of-house restaurant operations, food safety, and health department regulations.
• Proven ability to manage financials, including labor costs, inventory control, and waste reduction.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
