Housekeeper/Laundress OpportunityWe are seeking an exceptional Housekeeper/Laundress to help care for and maintain a warm, beautifully run private family home. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced, polished, highly organized, and takes genuine pride in creating a clean, calm, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is confident in all aspects of luxury housekeeping, with particular strength in laundry, wardrobe care, and household organization. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and understands how to support the rhythm of a busy family home with discretion, care, and consistency.Schedule & Compensation5 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, SaturdayTypical hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility appreciatedCompensation is $40 - $45 per hour, depending on experience - no benefitsKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain the home to an impeccable, guest-ready standard at all times, with a consistent focus on cleanliness, order, and overall presentationExpertly manage all laundry, including washing, pressing, steaming, folding, and the care of delicate, designer, and everyday garmentsOversee wardrobe organization, seasonal changes, and the careful maintenance of clothing and personal itemsCreate and maintain thoughtful organizational systems throughout the home so everything is beautifully kept and easy to manageHandle daily housekeeping and deeper cleaning as needed, always with a sharp eye for detailMonitor household supplies and inventory, ensuring the home is stocked, organized, and running smoothlyAssist with occasional light meal preparation for two children, ages 10 and 12Provide attentive care for two small dogs, including feeding, walking, and maintaining clean, well-kept pet areasHelp support the overall day to day flow of the household and work well alongside any additional staff when neededAssist with packing, unpacking, and general household preparation when requiredTake ownership of maintaining a calm, orderly, and exceptionally well-presented home environmentQualificationsSignificant experience working in a private home, ideally at a high standardStrong knowledge of laundry, fabric care, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe management is essentialHighly organized, dependable, and able to take initiativeComfortable working independently while anticipating needsTrustworthy, discreet, and naturally service mindedFlexible, polished, and able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy householdComfortable around children and small dogsPersonal QualitiesA warm, calm, and positive presence within the homeImpeccable attention to detail and a strong sense of pride in presentationProfessional, well-presented, and reliable at all timesA natural sense of order, care, and responsibilityA proactive mindset with a genuine sense of ownership in their workThis is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves what they do and understands the value of helping a family home feel cared for, peaceful, and exceptionally well maintained.
