About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Government and Public Affairs to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy that enhances the organization's mission and business objectives. This executive will be responsible for leading all government and public affairs activities, with a focus on securing and maintaining long-term public sector partnerships and investments. The role demands an expert understanding of local and regional government, a proven track record in relationship management with elected officials and civic partners, and the ability to align the organization's goals with public priorities. The successful candidate will also be involved in strategic initiatives that drive the organization's growth and will lead the creation of a government and public affairs team to support these efforts. Applicants for the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs position at the company should have a B.S./B.A. degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 10 years' in government affairs, public service, or a related area. The role requires a deep knowledge of public funding systems, regional governance, and experience in developing and advancing public funding strategies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly organized, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in capital campaigns, public/private partnerships, and nonprofit fundraising is preferred.
