Parts Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Parts department to ensure smooth and profitable performance
• Assist customers with parts sales both in person and over the phone, providing knowledgeable and friendly service
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain organized and attractive in-store merchandising of parts inventory
• Conduct regular cycle counts and manage inventory levels
• Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices
• Identify required replacement parts based on inspections, customer requests, or descriptions of equipment malfunctions
• Advise customers on alternative or modified parts when identical replacements are unavailable
• Prepare sales slips or contracts and handle payment processing
• Store and organize parts in stockrooms according to established systems
• Facilitate and coordinate the timely delivery of parts to the service department, reducing repair turnaround times and expediting the return of equipment to the field
• Coach, train, and formally evaluate department employees to support their growth and performance
• Develop, implement, and monitor operating plans for the department
