Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic clinical team. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care, with an emphasis on flexibility and adaptability within the assigned zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care within a variety of units including Medical-Surgical and Telemetry.
• Float between multiple facilities as directed, adhering to a 60-mile radius zone from the city center.
• Assist in patient assessments, care planning, and implementing nursing interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions, manage treatments, and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in orientation and training sessions and be prepared for scheduling that may include weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience within the last 3 years.
• Preferred experience in neurology and proficiency with Alaris and EPIC systems.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Patient Care Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide care to a diverse adult population, managing various diagnoses, including:

• Cardiac
• Neuro
• Orthopedic
• Oncology
• Renal
• Urology and post-surgical care
• General Surgery and Gynecology
• Psychiatric/Detox
• ENT and General Medicine

Work Environment

Travelers in this role are expected to be flexible, helping to fill permanent scheduling gaps. The following work conditions apply:

• Night shifts with a rotation of 6-9 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• May be required to float into upper acuity settings such as ICU and PCU, depending on patient needs.
• Limited cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts to be canceled within a 13-week assignment.

Additional Information

All traveling nurses must submit a two-week notice to avoid penalties for contract withdrawal. It is vital to be in the state for the orientation week, even if some modules are completed remotely.
