Back End Java Developer

Job Title

Work in small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; researching and identifying alternative solutions; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; interpreting information and identifying a solution; ensuring solution is sustainable across implementation and use; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs. Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; developing solutions; driving the development of an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; and completing online documentation. Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to produce high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.

Skills required: Must have experience with: experience with Java, J2EE with versions of 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 with expertise in Java 8 features including Functional Interfaces and Completable Futures; designing and implementing REST API Services for Mobile and web applications using JAVA; implementing Spring, Spring Boot, Struts 2.0 and MVC frameworks; Experience working with the messaging systems like Kafka; Demonstrated knowledge of core design patterns to integrate with internal and external entities and data sources building fault tolerant systems; Designing and testing Relational Database Management Systems including DB2, MySQL, JDBS and NOSQL; implementing Coding Standards using tools such as Sonar and Jocaco; using Azure cloud (Or any cloud) in deploying the application on different servers and maintaining the application to its standards for the users; and experience with project life-cycle, including analysis, design, development, implementation, support and enhancement.
