Recreational Specialist
Whitney M. Young Jr. Job Corps Center
Summary: Responsible for the supervision of staff and students to ensure a safe and secure operation of activities in the recreation/avocation area and supervises code of conduct in the development, implementation and maintenance of the behavior management system. Establishes and operates a Center-wide diversified recreation program. Monitors activities for individuals and groups to include tournament competition and varsity and intramural competition for the athletic-minded students. Provides oversight of plans for recreations activities for students not participating in athletic events. Supervises the development of the instructional programs to teach students new skills and to improve existing skills. Qualifications/Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with youth or related experience including supervisory experience. Associates degree preferred. Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License (must obtain a Class B CDL Driver’s License within 60 days of employment) #J-18808-Ljbffr Whitney M. Young Jr. Job Corps Center
