Employment Training Specialist

Now Hiring: Employment Training Specialist Crawfordsville & Frankfort Area

AVERAGE HOURS PER WEEK: 40 HOURS

Assists consumer in establishing employer leads for supported employment sites, learn the jobs, train and supervise consumers in how to perform the job tasks, as well as how to be a good employee in the integrated work setting. To provide guidance, support and supervision of the following-along position in regard to consumers. To assist the consumers to become self-reliant in the outside job setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age Satisfactorily pass Criminal History Background Check Provide proof of current drivers license and auto insurance Be able to pass drug screening at any point of employment

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of assisting people with disabilities (after two week on the job training course) Strong organizational skills Effective communication skills, both written and oral PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SPECIAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee is regularly required to sit Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel Must be able to reach with hands and arms Must be able to talk and hear Must be able to occasionally stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
