Senior Litigation Associate

Direct Counsel is representing a reputable law firm seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office.

Location (Hybrid): Los Angeles, California

Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigation attorney with a strong background in financial services litigation and trusts and estates disputes. The role offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters for clients across a broad range of industries, both nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex litigation matters involving:
  • Financial services disputes
  • Trusts and estates litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
• Manage traditional and electronic discovery
• Assist with and take/defend depositions
• Appear before state and federal courts
• Collaborate with litigation teams on high-level case management and trial preparation

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of litigation experience
• Strong background in financial services and trusts & estates litigation
• Appellate experience preferred
• Experience practicing at a mid-sized or large law firm strongly preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience managing discovery and handling depositions
• Admission and good standing with the California Bar required
• Federal clerkship experience is a plus
• Law Review experience strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $340,000 – $410,000 annually

Compensation is based on experience and other job-related factors.
