Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist Opportunity
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified/board eligible physician to join our expanding Division. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Program at Children's Wisconsin (CW) is a well-resourced program with regionally recognized expertise. Significant resources are available to support further programmatic development. The interdisciplinary program is comprised of medical and surgical subspecialists including a second pediatric neuro-oncologist, nurse coordinators, nurse practitioners, child life specialists, social workers, psychologists, dietitians, and rehabilitation specialists. Pediatric Neurosurgeons (4), dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiologists (4) and other clinical and laboratory collaborations support this program. Facilities include a Positron Emission Tomography (PET)-MRI, a pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), and a dedicated 18-bed pediatric neuroscience and rehabilitation unit with a comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation gym. Proton therapy is opening imminently at our facility. A large Clinical Trials Office, a Clinical and Translational Science Institute, a Genomics Sciences & Precision Medicine Center, a vibrant pediatric immunotherapy program, and a dedicated cohort of PhD scientists support our investigators.
We are dedicated to excellent patient care and expanding therapeutic opportunities through early phase clinical trials. Recruitment of an oncologist with interest in brain tumors and targeted therapy is critical to our program.
The Pediatric Cancer Program at Children's Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, is one of the premiere childhood cancer and hematology programs in the Midwest, serving infants, children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders. Our MACC Fund Center at Children's Wisconsin provides care for the majority of children with cancer in the state. We have a 24-bed inpatient unit, an outpatient clinic, and a day hospital staffed by more than 20 pediatric hematologist-oncologists, and 7 Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellows.

Children's Wisconsin and Children's Specialty Group
Children's Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children's Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children's Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton, Wis. in 2023.
Children's and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin the Children's Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children's Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.
