Position: Janitor

Location: Joyalways/129 S. Technology Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 1st shift

Compensation: $13 - $16 per hour

About the Role

Our wet wipe manufacturing facility relies on strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards. The Janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant environment across production, warehouse, and office areas. This position supports smooth operations by ensuring all spaces meet GMP, FDA, and ISO cleanliness expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of production floors, breakrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation tasks according to facility SOPs.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, equipment exteriors, and waste stations.
• Remove trash, recycling, and production scrap from designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, including around high‑speed converting and packaging equipment.
• Refill supplies such as paper towels, soap, sanitizer, PPE, and restroom products.
• Support production sanitation needs during changeovers or shutdowns.
• Follow all GMP, FDA, ISO, and internal hygiene protocols.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and maintain accurate usage logs.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, sanitation, or custodial experience required (manufacturing experience a plus).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, SOPs, and sanitation checklists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 40lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work in warm, humid, or cool environments depending on production area.
• Ability to push/pull carts, mop buckets, and cleaning equipment.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting with strict hygiene and safety standards.
• Exposure to production noise, moving equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, hairnet, etc.).
