Job Title: Industrial Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Assembler to join our team. This role involves working in a clean shop environment for over 50 hours a week, starting at 5 AM. The position requires learning the assembly and build processes from start to finish across various departments. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure are essential for performing basic tasks. Placement in specific departments will depend on your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly by assembling components into cabinets according to drawings or pictures.
• Connect wires in panels, following directions for point-to-point wiring and installing wire harnesses.
• Retrofit control panels to customer specifications using hand tools and small equipment.
• Install wire channels according to pictures, ensuring proper placement and clipping.
• Install wires according to diagrams, placing numbered wires into corresponding numbers.
• Add buss bars to control panels using forklifts or other machines for heavier materials.
• Install additional hardware and apply stickers, labels, and safety signs to control panel doors.
• Participate in mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, with a focus on pipe fitting for heating and cooling systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes as required.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform repetitive labor duties and stand for the entire shift.
• Aptitude for training and willingness to learn on the job.
• Desire to advance in the role and take initiative.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.
• Experience with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Brazing and soldering skills are a plus (training available).
• Experience in automotive mechanics, metal fabrication, HVAC, carpentry, industrial painting, sandblasting, powder coating, masonry, panel building, wire assembly, and plumbing is beneficial.
• Preferred candidates will have some shop or manufacturing experience, ideally in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant.
• Technical schooling or training is also considered valuable.

Work Environment

Join a state-of-the-art, fast-paced manufacturing facility with approximately 200 employees in the department. The dress code requires work boots and attire, with work shirts provided after a few weeks. Our organization is structured to provide localized manufacturing, engineering, service, and support globally through 40 full-service companies, offering 50 individual product lines across 10 global brands. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
