Social Services Deputy Director (Unclassified) Location: Saint Paul, MN Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $114,367.56–$171,551.34 annually About the Role Ramsey County is seeking a Social Services Deputy Director to lead Continuous Quality Improvement within the Children and Family Services Division. As a member of the department’s executive leadership team, this position oversees quality assurance, workforce development, statutory compliance, and system-wide improvements to strengthen child welfare and family services. Key Responsibilities Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives across Children and Family Services. Strengthen compliance with state and federal child welfare laws, regulations, and county policies. Oversee workforce development, staff training, onboarding, and quality assurance programs. Collaborate with community partners, tribes, state agencies, and service providers to improve outcomes. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives that promote equitable and culturally responsive services. Direct division operations, manage resources, and evaluate program effectiveness. Represent the department with elected officials, community organizations, and the public. Support long‑term organizational planning, legislative implementation, and service improvements. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Seven years of progressively responsible experience in social services supervision, program management, or administration. At least two years of experience in a public or private social service agency. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
