Supervisor Respiratory Therapy

Oversees the daily functions of the Respiratory Care Department in the provision of respiratory care. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates the daily operations within the department e.g., quality assurance, performance improvement, productivity monitoring, staffing assignments. (40%) Performs or makes recommendations relative to hiring, evaluation, coaching, promoting, disciplining, and discharging employees by following established HR policies, scheduling. (30%) Prepare, review and revise department standards of operation and care per regulatory requirements. (5%) Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (5%) Ensures compliance with and prepares the department for regulatory agencies. (20%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree. Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). 3 years in a clinical setting. CPR – American Heart Association. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. PREFERRED Master’s Degree. Previous supervisory experience.
