Partners closely with Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Business Banking, and Retail Banking teams to identify client needs, recommend payment solutions, and drive revenue growth through the expansion of merchant processing relationships.The ideal candidate combines strong payment industry knowledge with consultative sales skills and a passion for helping businesses streamline operations, improve cash flow, and enhance their customer payment experience.Job Duties: Sales & Business DevelopmentPartner with Commercial Relationship Managers and Treasury Management Officers to identify and pursue payment solution opportunities.Conduct client discovery conversations to understand current payment acceptance methods, operational processes, and business objectives.Present merchant processing solutions, including in-person, online, mobile, recurring, and integrated payment options.Generate new merchant services revenue through prospecting, referrals, and existing client portfolio expansion.Assist in developing and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) and competitive pricing opportunities.Maintain a consistent pipeline of merchant processing opportunities and track sales activity.Client Consultation & Relationship ManagementServe as a trusted advisor on payment acceptance strategies and emerging payment technologies.Recommend solutions that improve efficiency, customer experience, reporting, and cash flow management.Coordinate implementation activities and ensure smooth onboarding of new merchant relationships.Conduct periodic relationship reviews to identify opportunities for additional services and product enhancements.Provide ongoing client education regarding payment security, fraud mitigation, and industry trends.Merchant Processing ExpertiseMaintain subject matter expertise in merchant acquiring, card processing, POS solutions, gateway platforms, e-commerce payments, contactless payments, and mobile payments.Understand interchange fundamentals, pricing structures, settlement processes, and industry regulations.Assist clients in evaluating equipment, software integrations, and payment workflows.Collaborate with merchant services providers and internal partners to resolve complex client issues.Internal PartnershipWork closely with Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Operations, and Client Support teams.Deliver product training and sales support to bankers across the organization.Support strategic initiatives designed to increase payment solutions penetration across commercial client segments.Participate in sales meetings, calling programs, and community outreach efforts.Will perform special projects as assigned.Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 3-5 years of banking, treasury management, payments, or merchant processing experience.Demonstrated success in consultative sales and business development.Experience working with commercial clients and business payment solutions.Strong knowledge of merchant services, card processing, payment acceptance technologies, and related industry practices.Deep understanding of commercial payment ecosystems and merchant processing solutions.Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions.Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business lines.Certified Payments Professional (CPP) or similar industry certification.Experience with Treasury Management products including ACH, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, positive pay, and integrated receivables.Knowledge of EMV, PCI-DSS compliance, fraud prevention, and payment security best practices.Team player.Valid driver’s license; travel required.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 3-5 years of banking, treasury management, payments, or merchant processing experience.Valid driver’s license; travel required.Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disabled/Vet;If you are unable to complete this application due to a disability, contact View email address on click.appcast.io to ask for an accommodation, alternative application process, or other inquiries.
