Lead Event Barista

Anechó Coffee is seeking an experienced barista who thrives in fast‑paced, client‑facing environments and is ready to take on a unique, hands‑on role beyond the traditional café setting. This position combines barista expertise with event execution—you’ll lead mobile coffee experiences across New Jersey and New York City, ensuring each event runs seamlessly while delivering high‑quality drinks and exceptional service. What You’ll Do Prepare and load equipment, coffee, and supplies for each event Drive a company vehicle to event locations (primarily NYC) Set up a polished, client‑ready coffee station Serve as barista during events while acting as the on‑site lead Communicate directly with clients and venue contacts Troubleshoot issues in real time and ensure a smooth event experience Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout service Break down, reload equipment, and restock after each event Participate in weekly prep days (typically Mondays) What Success Looks Like Events run smoothly from setup through breakdown Clients and guests have a polished, professional experience You stay calm, organized, and solution‑oriented under pressure Equipment and workspaces are consistently clean and well‑maintained You proactively identify ways to improve execution and guest experience What We’re Looking For Must‑Have Qualifications 1+ year of barista experience in a specialty coffee or high‑volume café environment Proven ability to work in customer‑facing hospitality roles Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with clients and guests Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to event locations Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry 25–40 lbs regularly Comfortable loading / unloading equipment and setting up event stations Able to stand for extended periods during events Willing to work in a variety of environments, including indoor, outdoor, and city settings Preferred Qualifications Experience as a lead barista or shift lead Experience in catering, events, or mobile service operations Based out of Boonton, NJ Frequent travel to events in New York City Highly variable schedule based on event bookings Mix of shorter shifts and longer (8–10+ hour) event days Combination of weekdays and Saturdays (occasional Sundays) Typical weekly hours range from ~25–40+ depending on season and demand Overtime eligibility during busy periods Meals provided for longer events 401(k) available after 1 year Opportunity to work with well‑known brands and unique experiential events Work with recognizable brands like Amazon, Hoka, and Forbes Earn more than a traditional coffee shop role Experience variety—no two days or events are the same Additional Job Application Terms This job is part of LinkedIn’s Full‑Service Hiring beta program.
