This position reports to the Academy Director.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our children.
• Lead by example, setting high standards for your own performance and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in each child.
• Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure seamless day-to-day operations, adhering to center policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain a spotless, safe, and organized classroom environment, adhering to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to guarantee consistency in planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
• Stay on top of administrative tasks, including accurate record-keeping and filing.
• Embrace lifelong learning, developing a personal professional growth plan to enhance your skills and expertise.

Requirements

• Able to sit on the floor, kneel, stand, and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
