Trailer Service TechnicianJoin our team as a Trailer Service Technician and help keep our customers' equipment operating safely and efficiently. We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of semi-trailers and trailer equipmentComplete preventative maintenance services according to manufacturer and company standardsConduct DOT inspections and identify required repairsDiagnose and repair: Air brake systemsElectrical and lighting systemsTrailer doors and lift componentsLanding gear (trailer legs)Trailer floorsSuspension systemsTrailer bodies and structural componentsInterpret work orders, technical manuals, and repair proceduresTest equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safetyProvide excellent customer service during shop and field service assignmentsDiagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutionsComplete accurate work orders, inspection reports, and service documentationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical degree or diesel/trailer repair certification preferredPrevious experience as a diesel mechanic or trailer service technician preferredClass A CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain)Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordRequired SkillsStrong mechanical aptitudeWelding and fabrication experienceAir brake system diagnosis and repairElectrical troubleshooting and repairAbility to read wiring diagrams and technical manualsBasic computer skills for diagnostics, web-based training, and electronic work order systemsAbility to work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanshipMust provide and maintain a personal set of mechanic's toolsBenefits$3,000 Sign-On BonusCompetitive payHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution401(k) with company matchCompany-paid life insuranceCompany-paid short-term disability insuranceLong-term disability insurancePaid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Ongoing training and career development opportunities
