General Statement:

Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, performs professional duties including therapeutic assessments, treatment plan development, therapy implementation, and evaluation of data to determine progress towards goals and to adjust the plan as needed. Functions as supervising discipline for assigned cases; performs related work as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Requirements - Year(s) of Experience

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and registered by the State of Michigan as an Occupational Therapist. Must have some documented experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and pediatric populations.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able and willing to provide occupational therapy services as outlined in the Michigan Medicaid Manual. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and some irregular hours; must have a valid Michigan driver's license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours; ability to physically perform the tasks.

Preferences:

Strong clinical foundation in assessing and treating feeding disorders/difficulties, sensory processing, self-regulation, and/or experience working with individuals who may engage in challenging behavior. Experience functioning as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

• Vision Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
  • Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
  • Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
• Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
