Job Description

Title: Physician Assistant — Clinical Extender, Dermatology Location: Manhattan

Type: Part-time (2-3 days/week) to start. Open to expansion to full-time based on fit and demand. Boomerang parents, fellowship grads, and PAs balancing multiple practices welcome.

Compensation: $70-$95/hour DOE (hourly to start). Malpractice covered. Performance bonuses on specific procedures may be considered after a 90-day evaluation once added value is established.

Important — read before applying This is NOT an independent provider role. Dr. Strachan is the attending dermatologist on every patient seen in this practice. New patients are evaluated by Dr. Strachan. She makes the clinical decisions. Your role is to execute her plans, perform follow-ups, biopsies, and procedures within her direction, document carefully, and free her to focus on complex cases, hair loss, and expert witness work. If you are looking to build your own panel of patients or operate autonomously, this is not the right role. We are a high-touch, board-certified, nationally recognized boutique practice and patients book to see Dr. Strachan.

About Aglow Dermatology: Boutique Manhattan dermatology practice founded by Dr. Dina Strachan — Yale and UCSF trained, board-certified, nationally cited in skin of color, hair loss, acne, and cosmetic dermatology (NYT, Good Morning America, Washington Post, Dr. Oz). Calm, design-forward Murray Hill office.

What you'll do

• Execute Dr. Strachan's treatment plans on established patient follow-ups.
• Perform biopsies
• chemical peels
• laser
• rf micorneedling
• simple excisions,
• intralesional injections as directed.
• Assist Dr. Strachan with cosmetic procedures and complex cases.
• Document thoroughly in our EMR.
• Communicate findings, results, and patient concerns directly to Dr. Strachan.
• Stay within the defined scope set by Dr. Strachan. Expanded scope is earned, not assumed.

What we're looking for:

• NY State PA license, current and in good standing.
• Master's degree from accredited PA program.
• Dermatology experience preferred (1+ year). Strong candidates from family medicine or internal medicine considered with willingness to operate within an extender role.
• Comfort with a clear hierarchy. Decisions stop with Dr. Strachan.
• Calm, collegial bedside manner. Our patients come for both expertise and warmth.
• Detail-oriented documentation.
• Long-term mindset. We are looking for a steady contributor, not a stepping-stone hire.

Interview process:

• Initial video screen with Dr. Strachan or designee.
• In-person interview at the office.
• Paid working interview (1-2 days) before any formal offer is extended.
• Reference checks.
